After the pandemic stabilized this year, many domestic industries have entered a new period of transformation and adjustment—and the fertilizer industry is no exception. Driven by both internal and external factors, the scope and depth of these changes and adjustments will far exceed our expectations. At the same time, having experienced thirty years of rapid growth, the fertilizer industry itself has accumulated a host of underlying problems and contradictions, which, catalyzed by the pandemic, will become even more pronounced and intensified.
A high-end, authoritative, and professional industry conference—organized by the China Phosphate Fertilizer Industry Association—that fosters the collision of ideas, pools collective wisdom, mobilizes collaborative efforts, and jointly pursues development. The “2020 China Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Industry Exhibition and the 21st Domestic High-Concentration Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Production and Sales Fair” will be held from October 18 to 20 in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The meeting will help you clear the fog and find your way forward.
In a time when opportunities and challenges coexist, this year’s exhibition has been entrusted with a special mission and profound significance. This year’s event is a nationwide, influential conference held in the post-pandemic era. Focusing on the theme, we will pool the strengths of the entire industry to overcome these difficult times together, face challenges head-on, and jointly create a brighter future.
The production and sales fair features four major sections.
Section One Macroeconomics and the Fertilizer Industry— Macroeconomic Forum
This year, both the domestic and international situation has undergone the most unpredictable and severe changes in recent years, and the impact on industry development has been profound and far-reaching. Under these new circumstances, trends in domestic and global macroeconomics, the reshaping of the global trade landscape, the immense challenges posed by the global food crisis, and adjustments to China’s agricultural strategy will all have significant impacts on the fertilizer industry—a sector closely linked to national economic stability and people’s livelihoods.
Clearing the Fog to Find Our Way—The Macroeconomic Forum, under the theme “Focus on the Big Picture, Seize the Future,” will specially invite heavyweight guests to provide in-depth analysis and insights into hot topics such as the domestic and international macroeconomic situation, China’s response strategies, and the development strategy for modern agriculture. The forum aims to help the industry gain a clearer understanding of the current situation, build consensus, and jointly promote the healthy development of the sector.
Section Two Roadmap for a Strong Nation—— “14th Five-Year Plan” Industrial Development Forum
2020 marked the concluding year of the 13th Five-Year Plan and also the year for laying out the groundwork for the 14th Five-Year Plan. On the one hand, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over, adding considerable difficulties to the full achievement of the goals set forth in the 13th Five-Year Plan. Thus, ensuring a successful conclusion of the 13th Five-Year Plan has become even more critical. On the other hand, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, both the international and domestic environments will undergo significant changes, and the challenges we face—and the difficulties we encounter—will also be quite different. While the global situation and trade environment continue to deteriorate, we should also recognize that China has now become the world’s largest fertilizer-producing country. Our development foundation is stronger than ever, and our industry’s competitiveness has significantly improved. Seizing the new development opportunities brought about by the restructuring of the global fertilizer industry following the pandemic and striving to become a leading fertilizer power have become the common goal of the entire industry.
Making a Resounding Impact That Shapes the Future—The “14th Five-Year Plan” Industrial Development Forum, themed “Drawing Up the Blueprint, Co-creating the Vision,” will chart a course for the fertilizer industry as it stands at a new historical juncture. The conference will bring together prominent experts from within and outside the industry to discuss hotly debated topics such as the “14th Five-Year Plan” for the fertilizer sector and the requirements imposed on the fertilizer industry by the “14th Five-Year Plan” for agriculture, thereby promoting the industry’s rational development.
Section Three Domestic and International Dual Circulation— Market and Trade Analysis Forum
This year’s production and sales fair will once again host the market analysis session, which remains the event most closely watched by participants. However, unlike in previous years, this year’s market analysis session has been upgraded and transformed into a Market and Trade Analysis Forum, reflecting current developments and industry needs. The upgrade and transformation of the session are aimed at aligning with the country’s recent policy proposal to promote the “dual circulation of domestic and international markets” under the new circumstances. The forum will explore, from a broader, more comprehensive, and deeper perspective, pressing issues currently facing the fertilizer industry—including industrial layout, trade dynamics, and the integrated development of the fertilizer sector with other industries.
Reading the Market Trends—The Market and Trade Analysis Forum, themed “Seize Opportunities, Read the Market,” will invite industry experts and representatives from renowned consulting firms to interpret global trends in agriculture, energy, and fertilizers, and to identify future global trade opportunities.
