Representatives from 17 private enterprises, including Shandong Dongming Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Jingbo Petrochemical Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Ordos Power & Metallurgy Group Co., Ltd., attended the symposium. They engaged in an in-depth exchange on the current pain points, bottlenecks, and difficulties facing the development of private enterprises in the industry, and put forward relevant suggestions and opinions. Among these topics, technological innovation, “involution-style competition,” mismatch between production capacity and demand, and “going global” emerged as key focal points. They look forward to Sinopec playing a bridging and linking role to help the industry overcome its challenges and find solutions.

“Private enterprises in the petroleum and chemical industries have made outstanding contributions to China’s economic and social development. In the new era, they should bravely embrace their new mission and achieve even greater accomplishments in advancing the cause of Chinese-style modernization,” said Li Yunpeng in his concluding remarks. He expressed the hope that private enterprises in the industry would keep in mind the nation’s overarching interests, serving as pillars supporting major national strategies; courageously strive for new heights of development, taking the lead in industrial transformation and upgrading; promote scientific and technological innovation, driving the development of new-quality productive forces; cultivate a deep sense of patriotism and responsibility, assuming their role as stewards of social responsibility; and strengthen international cooperation, pioneering efforts in people-to-people diplomacy.

Li Yunpeng stated that Sinopec United should serve as a bridge and link between the government and private enterprises, facilitating communication between government and business, providing targeted empowerment, and pragmatically building a home for private enterprises in the oil and chemical industries. To this end, Sinopec United will enhance its service levels in seven key areas: First, strengthen policy support services and ensure the “last mile” of policy implementation is smoothly connected; second, deepen strategic decision-making services to help enterprises grasp their development direction; third, optimize information services and build a comprehensive, end-to-end information-sharing platform; fourth, promote innovation-driven technological advancement and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, while intensifying efforts to protect intellectual property rights; fifth, improve industrial chain services, enhance the resilience of industrial and supply chains, actively participate in global industry governance, and firmly safeguard the interests of Chinese enterprises; sixth, standardize and refine benchmarking services to guide enterprises toward high-quality development; and seventh, strengthen talent services to overcome bottlenecks caused by talent shortages in enterprises.
