In the first half of the year, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry achieved profits of 181.46 billion yuan.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics on July 27, from January to June, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide reached 3,436.5 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.8% year-on-year. Among them, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry recorded total profits of 181.46 billion yuan, down 9.0% year-on-year.
Data show that in the first half of the year, among industrial enterprises above a designated size, state-owned holding enterprises achieved total profits of 1,109.12 billion yuan, down 7.6% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises achieved total profits of 2,533.04 billion yuan, down 3.1%; foreign-invested and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-invested enterprises achieved total profits of 882.31 billion yuan, up 2.5%; and private enterprises achieved total profits of 938.97 billion yuan, up 1.7%.
From January to June, the mining industry achieved total profits of 429.41 billion yuan, down 30.3% year-on-year; the manufacturing industry recorded total profits of 2,590.06 billion yuan, up 4.5%; and the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply industry generated total profits of 417.04 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3%.
The profit performance of major industries in the first half of the year was as follows: The black metal smelting and rolling industry saw its profits increase by a factor of 13.7 year-on-year; the agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 22.8%; the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry rose by 13.0%; the nonferrous metal smelting and rolling industry increased by 7.8%; the general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 6.5%; the electricity and heat production and supply industry expanded by 5.6%; the special equipment manufacturing industry rose by 4.4%; the automobile manufacturing industry grew by 3.6%; the computer, communications, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry increased by 3.5%; the nonmetallic mineral products industry declined by 5.4%; the textile industry fell by 8.1%; the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry dropped by 9.0%; the oil and gas extraction industry decreased by 11.5%; the coal mining and washing industry fell by 53.0%; and the petroleum, coal, and other fuel processing industry experienced a year-on-year increase in losses.
From January to June, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating revenues of 66.78 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year; their operating costs totaled 57.12 trillion yuan, up 2.8%; and their operating revenue profit margin was 5.15%, down 0.22 percentage points year-on-year.
At the end of June, the total assets of industrial enterprises above designated size amounted to 183.17 trillion yuan, up 5.1% year-on-year; total liabilities reached 105.98 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.4%; and total equity stood at 77.19 trillion yuan, up 4.7%. The asset-liability ratio was 57.9%, rising by 0.2 percentage points over the same period last year.
As of the end of June, accounts receivable for industrial enterprises above designated size totaled 26.69 trillion yuan, up 7.8% year-on-year; finished goods inventory reached 6.60 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.1%.
From January to June, the cost per 100 yuan of operating revenue for industrial enterprises above a designated size was 85.54 yuan, an increase of 0.26 yuan year-on-year; expenses per 100 yuan of operating revenue were 8.38 yuan, a decrease of 0.10 yuan year-on-year.
At the end of June, for industrial enterprises above a designated size, operating revenue per 100 yuan of assets stood at 73.9 yuan, down 1.9 yuan year-on-year; per capita operating revenue reached 1.823 million yuan, up 56,000 yuan year-on-year; the inventory turnover days for finished products were 20.4 days, an increase of 0.1 day year-on-year; and the average collection period for accounts receivable was 69.8 days, up 3.9 days year-on-year.
In June, profits of industrial enterprises above designated size fell by 4.3% year-on-year.
