Shanxi Dongjin Fertilizer Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Dongjin Fertilizer”) was established in 2018 with a registered capital of 80 million yuan. It is located in the Jiaocheng Economic Development Zone in Shanxi Province. Dongjin Fertilizer has built production lines with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons of nitric acid, 200,000 tons of ammonium nitrate-calcium, 100,000 tons of calcium nitrate, 100,000 tons of magnesium nitrate, and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate-nitrate. In the second-phase project, the company is constructing an “860,000-ton Green New Materials Project” that includes an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of potassium nitrate, 100,000 tons of diammonium phosphate, 100,000 tons of molten salts for thermal energy storage, a byproduct ammonia water production facility with an annual output of 60,000 tons, and a magnesium chloride production facility with an annual output of 100,000 tons. The project’s annual output value exceeds 1 billion RMB. Due to its promising economic benefits and exemplary energy-saving potential, this project was designated as a provincial key construction project by the Shanxi Provincial Leading Group for Key Projects under Document No. [2018] No. 1 issued by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Heavy Industry.

Dongjin Fertilizer Industry is a chemical enterprise primarily engaged in the coal-to-chemicals energy sector. It specializes in producing specialty nitro-based potash-calcium-magnesium fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate calcium, calcium magnesium nitrate, and potassium nitrate, as well as industrial raw materials including sodium nitrate, sodium nitrite, calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, magnesium chloride, and molten salts.

On August 19, 2020, the first-phase project of Dongjin Fertilizer Co., Ltd., featuring a nitric acid plant with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons, successfully began producing acid. All key performance indicators of the dilute nitric acid produced met the required standards, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent commissioning of the first-phase project’s 200,000-ton ammonium nitrate-calcium and magnesium nitrate facilities. After nearly two years of construction, Dongjin Fertilizer’s 860,000-ton green new-materials project has now entered the intensive trial-production phase. The commencement of nitric acid production has significantly reduced production costs and optimized the company’s industrial chain structure—this is a momentous and joyous milestone in Dongjin Fertilizer’s development journey.
