Step into Nanning Hanhe—Continuous technological innovation helps develop better and more affordable fertilizer efficiency-enhancing products.
From July 20 to 21, 2020, the Nitro-Calcium-Magnesium Fertilizer Branch of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Calcium-Magnesium Fertilizer Branch") attended the 3rd BAA Global Business Conference and Agricultural Production & Sales Expo. The conference was themed “Empowering Professional Farmers” and focused on precisely matching various links in the agricultural input industry chain, including branded agricultural inputs, technical services, and high-quality fruits. More than 200 exhibitors from across the country—including brand-name agricultural input manufacturers, crop service providers, branded purchasers, and agricultural machinery manufacturers—participated in the event. Nearly 10,000 professional farmers and agricultural input distributors from different regions attended the conference as delegates.
As a new-generation microbial fertilizer company, Hanhe Bio stood out among the brand exhibitors. Under the theme “The Power of Science,” Hanhe Bio brought along its innovative fertilizer synergists as well as BASF’s patented technologies—“Weibai Suo” and “Limoushi”—to empower this large-scale post-pandemic industry expo. Together with the event organizer, Hanhe Bio also launched the “Ten Thousand Merchants on a Tech Journey—Exploring Cell Factories” initiative, drawing nearly 30 participants, including leading agrochemical brands, professional growers, agrochemical industry experts, and customers, who conducted on-site visits and inspections!

According to Yu Yifa, Deputy General Manager of Hanhe Bio, Hanhe Bio is a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, and sales of innovative, high-end plant nutrition products and cultivation technology services. The company was listed on the New Third Board in 2016. Its R&D team comprises more than 50 members, with many R&D and laboratory technicians coming from China’s prestigious 985 and 211 universities. Hanhe Bio ranks among the top in the country in terms of R&D and production capabilities. The Hanhe Bio R&D Center, established in 2012, is equipped with laboratories for synthetic biology and molecular biology research, and has introduced advanced foreign equipment—including nearly 60 state-of-the-art instruments such as fully automated ELISA readers, ultrasonic disruptors, decolorization shakers, Life Eco gradient PCR amplifiers, UV analyzers, and nucleic acid/protein electrophoresis systems—making it a leading R&D base in the domestic industry.

The fully automated smart production line for liquid fertilizers has an investment of nearly 18 million RMB and boasts an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons. Originating from microorganisms, the line develops microbial ecological preparations and employs synthetic biology to produce bio-stimulants—including γ-aminobutyric acid, brown algae oligosaccharides, and small-peptide amino acids—which are then added to liquid fertilizers. This ensures that the production line can meet all market demands for liquid fertilizers. The production quality is rigorously controlled, with regular analyses conducted on product quality to guarantee that the liquid fertilizer products are high-quality, highly efficient, and exceptionally stable.

Hanhe Bio leverages internationally leading product R&D technologies and cultivation concepts, collaborating with dozens of renowned international institutions and enterprises. It maintains close cooperation and exchanges with prestigious institutions and companies such as the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangnan University, the China National Center for Preservation of Microbial Strains, the China Center for Industrial Microbial Strain Preservation, the China Fermentation Industry Association, and BASF. The company’s R&D investment and R&D capabilities both rank among the world’s leading levels.
On June 9, 2020, the Phase III project of the Bioengineering Center was fully completed and officially put into operation. The four 20-ton fermentation tank systems, together with the Phase I and Phase II projects already in production, bring the total fermentation volume to over 150 cubic meters. The entire project ranks among the top in terms of digitalization, intelligence, and fermentation scale.

Guided by the philosophy of "continuous technological innovation to help develop better and more affordable fertilizer-enhancing products," Hanhe Bio leverages technological innovation to drive brand upgrades and infuse agriculture with the power of science and technology.
