The coal-based nitrogen fertilizer co-production LNG liquid nitrogen washing process has passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal by the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association.


2025 Year 3 Moon 25 On [date], the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association organized experts to evaluate the “coal-based nitrogen fertilizer co-production” jointly developed by Hubei JinKong Gas Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Zhongtai Cryogenic Technology Co., Ltd. LNG The “liquid nitrogen washing process” has undergone an assessment of scientific and technological achievements. The expert panel unanimously agreed to pass the assessment, concluding that the technology has reached a domestically leading level.

 

Gu Zongqin, Chairman of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association, served as the leader of the appraisal expert panel. Other senior industry experts who formed the appraisal panel include Liu Jincheng, Director of the Technical Committee at Hebei Yangmei Zhengyuan Chemical Group Co., Ltd.; Li Fanrong, Deputy Chief Engineer in the Process Department of China Fifth Ring Engineering Co., Ltd.; Guan Jie, Senior Process Engineer at China National Chemical Engineering Corporation Sai Ding Engineering Co., Ltd.; Sun Ning, Project Manager at China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd.; and Liu Yujun, Deputy General Manager of Zhongmei Ordos Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Inner Mongolia Zhongmei Yuanxing Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. The appraisal meeting was chaired by Cao Zhanguo, Chief Engineer of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association. Also attending the meeting were technical leaders such as Su Chunsheng, Director of the Technology Research and Development Office of the Chemical Industry Division at Jineng Holding Equipment Manufacturing Group; Luo Junjie, General Manager of Hubei JinKong Gas Co., Ltd.; and Hua Senliang, Process Engineer at Hangzhou Zhongtai Cryogenic Technology Co., Ltd.

During the appraisal meeting, the expert panel inspected the site of the facility and listened to reports from the technology developer and the project constructor on various aspects including technological development, construction and operation, techno-economic analysis, and novelty search. They also reviewed the relevant technical documentation. After questioning and discussion, the panel unanimously agreed on “co-production of coal-based nitrogen fertilizers.” LNG The liquid nitrogen washing process has passed the assessment of scientific and technological achievements, and it is recognized that this process technology has achieved gas purification and refining. LNG The product boasts significant energy-saving performance and features a compact layout with minimal equipment, high operational flexibility, short start-up time, and low start-up costs. It is particularly well-suited for the co-production of synthetic ammonia using raw materials such as pulverized coal and coke oven gas. LNG The product boasts advantages such as advanced technology and low cost, making it highly suitable for wider adoption and application. Overall, its technological capabilities have reached a domestically leading level.
