2025年全国氮肥行业工作会暨七届九次理事会在山西晋城成功召开

On May 28-29, the “2025 National Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Work Conference and the 9th Session of the 7th Council” was grandly held in Jincheng, Shanxi Province. Attending the conference were Gu Zongqin, Chairman of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association; Zhao Gaobin, a first-level chief staff member of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Zhang Jinqiao and Hou Xiaofeng, Senior Vice Chairmen; Zhang Zhaozhen, Wang Zhihe, Kang Shuxin, Li Hu, Zhang Shiqiang, Fan Diancai, Sun Honghai, Cui Shuming, Yu Yanbing, and Chen Li, Vice Chairmen; Wang Liqing, Secretary-General; Liu Haishan, Chairman of Shanxi Lanhua Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Co., Ltd.; as well as more than 240 other council members and enterprise representatives.
Gu Zongqin, Chairman of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association, delivered a report titled “Securing Victory in the 14th Five-Year Plan, Winning the Closing Battle, and Striving to Write a New Chapter of High-Quality Development for the Nitrogen Fertilizer and Methanol Industries.”

Chairman Gu Zongqin reviewed the economic performance of the nitrogen fertilizer and methanol industries in 2024 from six perspectives: total capacity development of nitrogen fertilizers and methanol, adjustments to the industry’s feedstock structure, changes in apparent consumption, shifts in import and export trends, market dynamics, and the development of the green ammonia industry. He also summarized the key initiatives undertaken by the association since last year to fully leverage its role as a bridge between the government and enterprises and to promote technological advancement and green, low-carbon development within the industry. Furthermore, he outlined the priority areas for the nitrogen fertilizer and methanol industries in the coming period: First, conduct in-depth research and surveys to ensure high-quality preparation of the “15th Five-Year Plan”; second, strive to break away from “involutionary” competition and prevent the industry from falling into supply-demand imbalances; third, firmly commit to achieving the dual carbon goals and vigorously advance all efforts related to energy conservation and carbon reduction; fourth, fully harness the leading and driving role of scientific and technological innovation to foster and develop new forms of productive forces; and fifth, remain constantly vigilant about safety and firmly uphold the bottom line of safe production.
Zhao Gaobin, a first-level chief staff member in the Petrochemical Division of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, explained the “Standard Conditions for the Synthetic Ammonia Industry” and provided an overview of the application status of enterprises meeting these standards.
The conference invited Jiang Nan, a researcher at the Rural Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Zhou Changbo, Director of the Low-Carbon Development Center at the Environmental Development Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment; and Wen Qian, Deputy Chief Engineer at the Institute for Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning, to deliver presentations on “The Outlook for China’s Agricultural Development and the Fertilizer Industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period,” “Progress in China’s Carbon Market and Corporate Response Strategies,” and “The Current Status of Green Hydrogen-Ammonia-Alcohol Development and Research on the Industrial Layout for Green Liquid Fuels during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period,” respectively.
The conference invited Luo Junjie, General Manager of Hubei JinKong Gas Co., Ltd.; Liu Wenju, Co-CEO of Mingquan Group Co., Ltd.; and Tian Kekke, Manager of the Digital Intelligence Center at Henan Xin Lian Xin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., to share their insights on topics including industrial demonstrations of efficient and clean utilization of smokeless lump coal in the synthetic ammonia industry, building a second growth curve for enterprises by leveraging traditional foundational industries, and leveraging digitalization and intelligent technologies to drive further upgrades in nitrogen fertilizer enterprises.
During the conference, Guizhou Aerospace Maiwei Technology Co., Ltd., Henan Xinlianxin Intelligent Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., Nanjing Dunxian Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Shidai Keyi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. each presented their latest energy-saving and high-efficiency technologies.
Relevant officials from the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association reported separately on the economic performance of China’s nitrogen fertilizer and methanol industries in 2024, as well as the development trends for 2025. They also provided updates on the progress of drafting the national standard “Quantification Methods and Requirements for Carbon Footprint of Greenhouse Gas Products—Synthetic Ammonia/Urea” and the industry standard “Green Synthetic Ammonia.”
During the conference, 17 companies—including industry leaders CNOOC, Hualu Hengsheng, and Hebei Dongguang—held promotional presentations. The 9th session of the 7th Council was chaired by Gu Zongqin, Chairman of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association. The meeting reviewed and adopted three proposals: "Proposal on Adjusting Some Members of the 7th Council and Admitting New Members," "Report on the Income and Expenditure of Membership Fees for 2024," and "Proposal on Establishing a Leading Group for the Renewal of the Council."
The participating leaders engaged in an in-depth discussion and exchange on new developments and emerging challenges facing the nitrogen fertilizer and methanol industries during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, as well as on the directions for the transformation and upgrading of these industries under the new requirements of green and low-carbon development.
